ABSTRACTS
 
Oral presentations and posters
The congress’s Scientific Committee invites you to send abstracts for oral presentations or posters for the congress.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 July 2009. The technical secretariat will confirm receipt of abstracts. Notification of acceptance will be made after 15 September 2009.

The scientific committee will award prizes for the three best oral presentations and the three best posters.

The prizes for each category will be as follows:
  1 - Prize 300 euros
  2 - Prize 200 euros
  3 - Prize 100 euros

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 25th October at the congress closing ceremony.

In order to standardize the format of abstracts please read the presentation regulations carefully.

Remember that for abstracts to be accepted, at least the author of the presentation must be registered at the congress.

Regulations for the Presentation of Abstracts
 
  1. Research Methodology: Both quantitative and qualitative studies are acceptable.
  2. Special attention will be given to: Scientific rigour, originality, content, inclusion of results and compliance with study regulations.
  3. Abstracts must contain original material unpublished prior to 23rd October, 2009.
  4. Abstracts must be written in either Spanish or English.
  5. Abstracts should be sent by e-mail as a Word attachment to: info@acupunturabarcelona2009.com. Files in PDF format will not be accepted. The correspondence author’s e-mail must be provided.
  6. Authors: A maximum of 6 authors is permitted. Surname should be listed, followed by the first name, separating different authors using commas. Underline the name of the person giving the presentation, who must be registered at the Congress.
  7. Title: This should be in capital letters and no longer than 2 lines.
  8. Text: The text should consist of a maximum of 300 words in Arial 10-point font.
    The abstract should be structured according to the following sections: introduction, objective, methodology, results and conclusions.
  9. Images or tables are not permitted.
  10. Presentation: Indicate how the presentation is to be presented: orally or as a poster. The Scientific Committee may change the presentation format.
